At Sesame Place Philadelphia, guests enter a vibrant world where every storefront tells a story, including the park’s flagship store. Maintaining this immersive atmosphere was GuernseyTingle’s singular goal in designing the park's premier retail location. At 6,800 square feet, the Sesame Place Store is the largest Sesame Street-themed store in the world, with a look that captures the color and charm guests expect from the classic show.
Our team focused on designing a functional, high-capacity retail layout that absorbs substantial guest traffic, allowing families to interact with character-themed environments while browsing exclusive park merchandise. We performed concept and schematic design for the entire facility, drawing on iconic locations in Philadelphia and New York to add architectural and scenic details that elevate the shopping experience and contribute to the imaginative character of the entire park.
