Bringing the world’s most famous street from television screens into a living, breathing theme park environment was no simple task! GuernseyTingle worked closely with Sesame Place Philadelphia and the creative team at Sesame Workshop to help bring this beloved childhood landmark to life, devising a vibrant streetscape that features Big Bird's nest, Hooper's Store, Oscar's trash can, and the Fix-It Shop.

Beyond the main streetscape, our team has developed several retail and play spaces in the park, as well as the theming for the park’s largest attraction, the award-winning Oscar's Wacky Taxi wooden coaster. With a playful design approach backed by years of architectural expertise, we’re proud to have helped craft one of the East coast’s most vibrant spaces for families to enjoy!

Verbolten: Forbidden Turn at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

The layout inspired the new design from the start, particularly the classic scream-inducing drop- which occurs right before the coaster takes riders back outside into the light after disappearing into the darkness of the Black forest, which is largely set inside a multistory building. “I wanted to make the story centered around that.” -Richard Smith, Creative Director.
