At GuerneyTingle, we work with major educational foundations to build accessible educational environments for modern audiences. For the American Revolution Museum outdoor interpretive area, we collaborated with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation to bring Continental Army encampments and a 1780s farm to life.

Our multi-disciplinary design team balanced authenticity with high-durability modern amenities, cleanly integrating visitor pavilions, comfort stations, and accessible hardscape into living history exhibits that reflect the everyday realities of a bygone era. Utilizing extensive research and an innovative architectural approach, we help deliver engaging, educational experiences that captivate visitors of all ages.

Verbolten: Forbidden Turn at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

The layout inspired the new design from the start, particularly the classic scream-inducing drop- which occurs right before the coaster takes riders back outside into the light after disappearing into the darkness of the Black forest, which is largely set inside a multistory building. “I wanted to make the story centered around that.” -Richard Smith, Creative Director.
